Help our students Go Green!

We are looking for volunteers to help in the lunch court over the next several weeks to help teach the students how to sort their trash.

Several years ago, COMPOSTABLE WASTE was picked up (by Recology) from Audubon separate from recyclables and landfill/garbage. This is fantastic news from an environmental standpoint! One challenge is helping our students understand how to sort the three during lunch. For the past few years, we have been able to help the kids actively think about this sorting process at the end of their meal by having parent volunteers coach the kids at lunch.

We are looking for 6 parents at our lunch hour for the next few weeks to VOLUNTEER IN THE LUNCH COURT (upper grade, 1st grade and kinder) to help students sort their lunch waste. We can help "train" you if you are not too sure what goes where!
