Livescan fingerprints are complete! Now what?

**Important Volunteer Information**

CA Senate Bill 848 changes the requirements for individuals who volunteer at school. Please review the updated requirements before volunteering on campus. There are two levels of volunteering. Click HERE for more information.

Level One: Volunteers who are NOT permitted to be alone with students out of direct supervision of the teacher, such as classroom volunteers, art volunteers, PTA event volunteers, etc. Level One volunteers must complete the following actions prior to volunteering:

• Notify the office that they would like to volunteer

• Provide a copy of drivers license/other government issued IDs

• Provide a copy of Tuberculosis clearance within 60 days - California Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment Questionnaire

Level Two: Volunteers who are permitted to be alone with a student and not under direct supervision of a teacher, such as field trip chaperones or tutors. Level Two volunteers must complete the following actions prior to volunteering:

• Notify the office that they would like to volunteer

• Provide a copy of drivers license/other government issued IDs

• Livescan fingerprinting

• Complete CA Mandated Reporter Online Training and share completion certificate with the office

• Provide a copy of Tuberculosis clearance within 60 days -  California Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment Questionnaire

Missed the fingerprinting event? You can still be fingerprinted and complete the requirements. Contact Ms.Uitz for more information. Please note, individuals will not be reimbursed for services after the scheduled PTA fingerprinting event. The cost is between $77-$100. 

The PTA sponsored a Livescan fingerprinting specialist on campus at drop-off on Wednesday, September 2 in Room 4 (the Lego Lab). In order to chaperone a field trip with your student, you MUST complete a Livescan fingerprint for the SMFC school district. The good news is, once you’ve completed a Livescan, it is good until your student(s) leaves the district.
